The Memorial Candle Program has been designed to help offset the costs associated with the hosting this Tribute Website in perpetuity. Through the lighting of a memorial candle, your thoughtful gesture will be recorded in the Book of Memories and the proceeds will go directly towards helping ensure that the family and friends of Douglas Ellingboe can continue to memorialize, re-visit, interact with each other and enhance this tribute for future generations.

Thank you.

Back when we were young

I go back to the times in the shed (small work shop) in the back yard, the mini bikes, go-carts, lawnmowers and snowmobiles. Working on them and riding them in the back alley, I think back to the time we set up a jump, it was a small one, to small so we had to make it taller. I took the first run, made it okay but Doug said I did not fly very high so he had to take a longer run at it, after he hit the jump he flew higher but when he landed and crashed I thought he would never be able to have children. All the things we did up at the cabin, fishing and venturing off with the canoe into places we probably should not have been. I could write a book on all the great fun times I had with Doug growing up. You will be missed very much by everyone. Keith Nelson
