Soroka, Leonard W. age 68 of St. Anthony, MN fell asleep in the Lord on Sunday, March 10th, 2019 after a difficult battle with cancer. Leonard was a graduate of St. Vladimir's Seminary in NY, published several Orthodox music books, and faithfully served the Orthodox Church as a Choir Director for over 45 years in NJ, PA, IL, locally at St. Mary's Orthodox Cathedral in Minneapolis and most recently at St. George Antiochian Orthodox Church in St. Paul. He is preceded in death by parents, The Very Reverend Vladimir and Olga (Konik) Soroka. Survived by son, Aaron Soroka; daughter, Kyra Dunn (Shane), and their mother, Kathleen Kirkendall; grandsons, Dominic, Elijah, and Zachary; sister, Donya Yewisiak (Paul); brothers, Michael Soroka, Very Reverend Thomas Soroka (Joni); 5 nieces and 2 great nephews. Visitation 4 - 7:30 PM Wednesday, March 13, 2019 at KOZLAK-RADULOVICH CHAPEL (1918 University Av. NE, Minneapolis, MN). Parastas (Vigil Prayers) at 6:00 PM. Funeral Service 11:00 AM Thursday, March 14, 2019 at ST. GEORGE ANTIOCHIAN ORTHODOX CHURCH (1250 Oakdale Av., West St. Paul, MN) with visitation one hour prior. Interment St. Mary's Orthodox Cemetery.
