Age 89 of Hastings. Born Delia Sandahl in Lake Bronson, MN on 12/31/1929, passed peacefully at her home on 1/31/2019. Delia began her career as an LPN, and went on to become an illustrator at FMC. She loved painting, travel & dancing. Preceded in death by husbands, Richard Simmons & Donnal Nelson; son, Michael Simmons; granddaughter, Monica Lynn Thomas; siblings: Grace, Gordon, Alley, Doris & Arlene. Survived by children, Michele Thomas, Kris (Ken) Schetina & Sean (Lisa) Simmons; grandchildren, Jennifer Gastinger, James Thomas & Ashley Bierch; great-grandchildren, Destiny Walton, Chantell Walton & Deante’ Holmes; great-great-granddaughter, Aaliyah Walton-Suttles; many nieces, nephews & other relatives. Funeral service at KOZLAK-RADULOVICH CHAPEL (1918 University Ave. NE) Friday at 10:30 AM with visitation one hour prior. Interment Fort Snelling National Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials preferred.
