SALO, DARLENE C.
Age 68 of Brooklyn Park, after a valiant fight with cancer. Dar was born on Valentine’s Day, 1951 to Raymond & Clarine Kollodge. She began what would be a lifetime career with CenturyLink at the age of 18. She met Larry and would forever be the most beautiful woman in the world. They married in 1973 and raised two children. Darlene will be remembered for being an amazing cook, amazing wife, mother & grandmother. She lived life to the fullest and cherished each day – returning from a trip to Nevada just days before her passing. Darlene is preceded in death by parents, Raymond & Clarine Kollodge. She leaves behind her her husband of 46 years, Larry; children, Eric (Tammy) Salo & Jill Ramos; grandchildren, Andrew, Ashley, Hailey, Sophia, & Ella; brothers, Duwayne (Carol), Dennis (Mary), Darryl (Donna) & David (Lora) Kollodge; many nieces, nephews, other relatives & friends. Visitation at KOZLAK-RADULOVICH BLAINE CHAPEL (107th Ave. NE & Hwy. 65) Monday, April 22, 2019 from 5-8 PM. Mass of Christian Burial at CHURCH OF ST. ALPHONSUS (7025 Halifax Ave. N.) Tuesday, April 23, 2019 at 11 AM with visitation one hour prior. In lieu of flowers, memorials preferred to the American Cancer Society.
